He was born in Burke County, Feb. 10, 1931 and was the son of the late Harley Luico and Brentie Belo Deal Yancey of Valdese.
Mr. Yancey was retired from Georgia Pacific Industries and was an U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant and retired with 24 years of military service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lee Yancey of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and sisters, Ann McGimpsey of Morganton and Lydia Frances Deal (1910-1985) of Valdese.
