Our beloved Mother, June J. Ambrose, 80, passed away on May 19, 2014.

She was born July 2, 1933 in Berkeley Springs, W. Va. to the late James and Helen Ambrose. Her first job in Akron was working as a 17 second milkshake maker at Skyway Drive-in. Mom also worked at Charles Mayer Studios for many years. She moved to Las Vegas, Nev. for 14 years and worked as a hostess; returning to Akron and retiring from the Acme store where she worked in various departments. Mom was a proud lifelong Yellow Dog Democrat. She loved serving her family, cooking for her girls on Thursday evenings. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed baking, gardening, and watching birds and squirrels.

June is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Mickey) Stevenson, Glenda Hammock, Patricia (Rory) Wineka, and Holly (Chuck) Magner; brothers, Bob (Julia), Dick, and Tom (Lisa) Ambrose; grandchildren, Michael, Jimmy, Andy, Becca, Chrissy (Jeff) Romans, and Stephen (Meghann); great-grandchildren, Michael III, Natalie, Christopher, Shawn, Samuel, Andrew, Lilyann June, and Lucas; cousin, Jimmy (Margaret) Tyler; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and much beloved dog, Rags.
