Mrs. Fabery resided with her daughter, Sandra Tharp, for several years prior to moving to the Respicenter.
She was born April 18, 1923, in Holbrook, the daughter of the late James and Hazel Kerns.Mrs. Fabery worked as a waitress for various restaurants in the Waynesburg area, and retired from the Berkowitz Clothing Factory in Waynesburg.
She was active in the Carmichaels community, and was awarded a certificate for her volunteerism in 2006 from President George W. Bush. Mrs. Fabery was a member of the Carmichaels Senior Citizens from 1983 to 2011, where she registered members and served on several committees.
Mrs. Fabery is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Tharp of Waynesburg; a son, Charles R. Carpenter and wife Anne of Woodbine, Md.; stepdaughters, Patricia Sue Phillips of Amherst, Ohio, Dorothy Louise Bedillion and Helen Jean Ross, both of Waynesburg, Carolyn Jane Knotts, Cindy Cooney and Marilyn DeMott, all of New Jersey; and several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husbands, Frank A. Carpenter, Robert A. (Cud) Wells and Robert Fabery; a brother, William Nelson Kerns; two stepsons, John A. Wells, and Donald Fabery; and a great-grandson, Joshua Carpenter.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320 (724-966-5100), Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, and 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, when a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Cathy Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
