Thomas Richard Amos was born on June 11, 1874, in Marion, West Virginia, to Martha Jane Starkey, age 27, and Enos Amos, age 29.
He had nine sons and three daughters with Iola Viettie Kellar between 1894 and 1917. He died on May 12, 1917, at the age of 42.
