Mrs. Elsie M. Cowden, 44, of Lansing, died June 27, in St. Lawrence Hospital in that city.
Mrs. Cowden was married in 1923 to Reno Arrowsmith, one of the founders of the DAD. Mr. Arrowsmith was fatally injured in Grand Rapids, in August 1933.
On December 7, 1935, Elsie was married to Mr. Cowden and has resided in Lansing ever since.
Survivng, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Winston and Charles Arrowsmith.
Remains were brought to Detroit for burial in Woodlawn cemetery.

Mrs. Elsie Marie Cowden, 44, of 808 Grace st., died early Monday morning at a local hospital.  Mrs. Cowden had been a resident of Lansing for the past 14 years coming here from Detroit.  She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church.  Surviving are two sons, Winston Arrowsmith and Charles Arrowsmith, both of Detroit; two brothers, Capt. Peter Rice of Bergen, Germany, and Jesse Rice of California, and two sisters, Delilah Bailey of Allerton, Ill., and June Rice, Mt. Carmel, Ill.  Funeral arrangements are being made at the Estes-Leadley funeral home and will be announced later.
