Alta Bernice Strader, age 100, of Lugoff, South Carolina, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:10 PM, May 16, 2014 at Life Care Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

She was born August 16, 1913 in Harrisburg to the late William A. and Mary (Ferrell) Owens.

Alta is survived by three children, eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 15 brothers & sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
