Lucy Mae Prillaman was a phone operator for a number of years in Montgomery County, Virginia before retiring and residing in the same county. She had a sister who was mentally challenged who she cared for for years while married to her husband, George, until he passed away sometime around 1978. She was also preceded in death by a brother who was murdered sometime either in the late 20's or early 30's. Lucy is buried next to George in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA.
