On March 2, 1890. She was united in marriage to George Adair and to this union was born one daughter, Florence, who was a joy and comfort of her life, and who preceded the mother in death in 1931. The family lived in Oklahoma at various times and since her husband's death in 1910, Mrs. Adair has lived most of the time in Corning. Her entire life has been devoted to the care of young people and she has been a mother to her granddaughter, Dorothy Larimer and to two nephews W.H. Adair, James E. Adair and to her niece, Mrs. H.H. Dean. Mrs. Adair was a typical home lover, kindly, patient, a good neighbor and friend. Her pride and success in raising plants and flowers are known to many. She was affiliated with the Methodist Church and services were held in the church of her choice in Corning, Wednesday afternoon November 15 at two o'clock with Rev. V.A. Bloomquist in charge of the service.
Besides her mouring granddaughter, she is mourned by a sister Mrs. Bessie Larimer, Pawhuska, Oklahoma: two brothers Lorenzo Traverse of Beaver Creek Oregon and Charlie Traverse of Wyota, Oklahoma and a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Joe and Matthew and two sisters, Vonnie and Lucy all preceded her in death.
She was laid to rest in the Quincy cemetery with Orville Liddell, Jake Lawrence, Beach Barker, Austin Proctor, William Jarries and Howard Wilmarth as pallbearers.
And those from a distance who attend the funeral services were Mrs. Harold Thompson, a niece, from Jessup, Iowa; Mrs. Bessie Larimer, a sister from Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Mrs. Herman Dean a niece from Ponca City, Oklahoma.
