Robert B. Goodin, 71 of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born May 30, 1933, in Farber, MO, son of Harry Louis and Daisy Etta (Romans) Goodin.
He and Loretta F. Moore were married on May 26, 1956, at Farber.
Mr. Goodin was a member of Farber Baptist Church.
He served in the Korean War while he was in the Navy.
He was a truck driver for 45 years.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Goodin of Cape Girardeau, MO; a daughter and son in law, Pam and David Rutherford of Cape Girardeau, MO; and her three sons and a daughter in law, Eddie Goodin of Cape Girardeau, MO; Jeff Goodin of St. Charles, MO; and David and Pam Goodin of Scott City, MO; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Susie Goodin of Farber, MO; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The funeral is Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Shawn Wasson and Donny Ford officiating. Graveside rites will be at the Missouri Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO, with military rites by the Missouri Honor Team.
