Mrs. Ada Tolar

The funeral for Mrs. Ada B. Tolar, 546 Dakota Ave. S., who died Wednesday night, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Ada V. Pownell was born July 16, 1900, at Romney, W. Va., to Mr. and Mrs. James W. Pownell. She moved to the Broadland area in 1917. She married Frank R. Tolar, Jan. 23, 1918, at Hitchcock and they lived in the Hitchcock community and 10 years at Wessington before moving to Huron in 1940. She was a member of the First United Methodist church, United Methodist Women, Colfax Rebekah Lodge, Huron Area Senior citizens, Senior Choraleers, American Legion Auxiliary and World War I Barracks Auxiliary.

Survivors are three daughters, Virginia Kelley, Wanda Arth, both of Sacramento, Calif., and Mary Williams, St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.
