Ramon was known by his middle name, Ramon, when growing up to distinguish from his father. He was also known as Abe to many during those years. He was a graduate of Axtell (Ne.) High School, Luther Junior College, Wahoo, Nebraska and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Ramon served as a U.S. Coast Guard aviator and officer for six years. He then worked for JI Case Co. (Now CNH International) for 20 years in sales and management positions with responsibilities throughout the United States and Canada. He then was self-employed, representing specialized computer programs for the construction industry, mostly in the San Francisco, California area. He retired to Sierra Vista, Arizona in 2003.
Ramon began his musical training in Axtell (NE.) School under J. Rodney Wendell, choral and Earl Freeland, band. For many years, he was active singing in choral groups while living in the San Francisco, California area, performing many classical works. He was an active member of the Sierra Vista (AZ.) Community Chorus during his residence there. He also was active in church choirs throughout his life.
Ramon participated in many sports throughout his life and was a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker fan, in addition to the Oakland Athletics.
Ramon was preceded in death by: parents; Vincent and Mildred Abrahamson; first wife, Pamela and brother-in-law, Larry Olson.
Crmains will be buried in Fridhem Cemetery, Funk, Nebraska.
