Timothy worked for US Foods for 25 years. He proudly served his country in the US Marines for 4 years, in Japan, Okinawa and Vietnam. Timothy loved to fish. He also loved sports, especially football and the OKC Thunder basketball.
Timothy is survived by 2 children, Timothy Abernathy, Jr. & wife, Mical and Shauna Pope husband, Levi; 3 grandchildren, Benjamin Abernathy, Sophia Pope and Samuel Abernathy; his mother, Lois Childress; siblings, David, Larry, Mark, Carolyn, Steven; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, James; step-father, Arthur Childress; and grandmother, Merle Hicks.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 23, 2014, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E. Main Street, Moore, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
