Mrs. Cornelia Faye Cooper Lamb age 72, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2014 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus. Funeral services will be held from the graveside Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Don Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening May 24, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and other times the family residence 865 Hwy. 45 North Plains, Ga.

Mrs. Lamb was born August 4, 1941 in Sumter County, Ga., daughter of the late Jessie Dee Cooper and Zelma Cornelia Holley Cooper. She was owner and operator of Faye's Nursery in Plains for forty three years. She loved working with flowers and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lamb was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Plains Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lamb is survived by her beloved husband of fifty four years M. B. Lamb Sr. of Plains, two daughters and sons-in-law Wanda Lamb Burke [Stephen] of Americus, Ga. Candy Lamb Goodin [Allen] of Ellaville, Ga. two sons and daughters-in-law Milze Lamb Jr. [Ann] of Plains, Ga. and Randy Lamb [Angel] of Plains, Ga. one sister and brother-in-law Peggy Cooper Stephens [Tony] of Thompson Station, TN. two brothers Cecil Cooper of Newton, Ga. and Ollis Cooper of Albany, Ga. eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Cooper and a grandchild Justin Goodin.
