Eula graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1942 and Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in 1946 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She attended the College of William and Mary and Columbia Business College. She taught music at South Potomac Junior High School in Hagerstown, Md., and also taught private piano students. She also was a certified professional secretary and retired from the Potomac Edison personnel department. She was a member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro, and a former member of the Williamsport Library Board, Shenandoah University Alumni Board and Hager Chamber of International Association of Administrative Professionals.
Eula is survived by her husband of 66 years, Howard Marcellus (Mark) Swain of Williamsport; a daughter, Marcia Swain of Williamsport; a brother, Alfred C. Huffer Jr. of Delmar, Md.; her grandchildren, Nicholas Moser, Fairplay, Md., and Julie (Moser) Hebig, Allentown, Pa.; and four great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her nephew, Andreas Huffer of Greencastle, Pa.; her niece, Lisa (Huffer) Harbaugh, Hollidaysburg, Pa.; and great-nephew, Zachary Harbaugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris (Huffer) Hutton.
A funeral ceremony was held at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, Boonsboro; final resting-place ceremonies followed at Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
