John Heisler was born between 1830 and 1832 in Bavaria. His wife, Katherine Werner Heisler was born in Baden, Germany in about 1836.

Their children: Mary born 1858 in Maryland, John born 1863 in Maryland, and Sophie born 1876 in Maryland.

John is buried in the Peterson family plot. (his son John's in-laws were Christian and Elizabeth Peterson)
