Of Perryville and formerly of Jackson passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born August 24, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, son of Henry T. and Amanda Frank Allers. He married Evelyn E. Wachter on November 29, 1969 at Shawneetown. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2006.
August was baptized and confirmed at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. August worked for Shawneetown Feed and Seed for many years. He enjoyed raising cattle and crop farming with his brother, Charles.
Survivors include his sister in law Pauline Allers of Altenberg; one niece, Anna (finance’ Timmy Cook) Cook of Altenburg; one nephew, Paul Allers of Altenberg; two great nieces Kristie (Robert) Hoxey and Shania Cook both of Altenburg.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Allers.
