JOHNNY LEE BACON, age 67, a life-long resident of Irving, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born February 25, 1947 in Dallas, he is the son of Mattie Lou Koon Bacon, and the late Clarence Richard Bacon. A United States Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War, he was the president of Airmec, a rubber products manufacturer. He married Linda Carol Turner June 17, 1967 in Irving. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife Linda of Irving; his mother Mattie Lou Bacon of Irving; daughter Angela Bacon Kidwell and husband John of Wichita Falls, Texas; son Brian Chad Bacon of Irving; sister Rhonda Miller and husband Mike of Whitesboro, Texas; and two grandsons Trusten Bacon and Bleu Kidwell. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery 9700 Webb Chapel Road, Dallas, Texas 75220.
