William V. "Bill" Guinn age 90 of Phillipsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at The Hospice of Dayton. Bill retired from Shook Construction Company and Danis Industries. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brookville. Bill was a veteran of WWII having proudly served in the U.S. Army under General George S. Patton, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and Crossing of the Rhine. He was also a recipient of the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife of 70 years: Gertrude "Trudy" (Combs) Guinn, son: David V. Guinn of Vandalia,daughters and sons-in-law: Ruth Ann (Tony) Baldasare of West Milton, Patricia L. Konkler of IN, Judith P.(Steve) Bullock of Lewisburg, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Egbert and Phebe (Sears) Guinn, sister: Thelma Piero and
brothers: Paul and Lewis Guinn. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Ron Evans officiating. Interment will follow the service at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
