ERVINGSIDE Margaret E. Abbott, 91, formerly of 20 Central St. in Millers Falls, died Sunday in a Greenfield nursing home. She was a waitress at the former Northfield Inn.
She was born in Keene, N.H. She attended schools in Winchester, N.H., and was a graduate of Thayer High School. She attended the Thompson School of Nursing in Brattleboro, Vt.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Millers Falls, the Erving Senior Citizens and Green Thumb. Her husband, Warren L. Abbott, died in 1965. She leaves two sons, Henry of Montague and Francis of Northfield; a daughter, Peggy Bellor of Shelburne; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday morning at Kidder Funeral Home, Northfield, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester. A calling hour will precede the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western New England, 164 High St., Greenfield, MA 01301.
