Former Raleigh Girl Marries in New York
Church of All Nations is Scene of Edwards - Oldham Wedding
Miss Helen Lee Oldham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robet (sic) Lee Oldham, formerly of Raleigh, and Cpl. Donald Allison Edwards, son of Judge and Mrs. Thomas Allison Edwards of Cordell, Okla., were married at the Church of All Nations in New York City on Monday, October 19. The Rev. Charles Austin, pastor of the church, was the officiating minister.
The bride wore a French blue dress with matching hat and a black caracul jacket. Her flowers were a bouquet of tea roses.
Mrs. Howard Oldham, sister-in-law of the bride, was her matron of honor and only attendant ,and James E. Birdsell was best man.
The bride attended the public schools of Raleigh and Columbia University in New York.
Corporal Edwards is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Law School, and is at present a candidate at the Officers' Training School at Fort Sill, Okla.

Helen L. Eppley, 92, of Vienna, VA, died March 19, 2005.
N. Deane Eppley, 81, of Vienna, VA, died December 24, 1998.
Mrs. Eppley was born March 31, 1912 in North Carolina, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Virginia E. Jenkins Oldham. She was the widow of N. Deane Eppley.
Mr. Eppley was born February 27, 1917 in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Russell S. and Gertrude O'Neill Eppley. He was a native of Marysville.
The Eppleys were members of Bethel Regular Baptist Church, Great Falls, VA.
Surviving are cousins, Robert Hipple, Gary Eppley, Maxwell Eppley, Cheryl Briner, all of Marysville, Alicia Lau of Churchtown, Gene Hipple of Pittsboro, NC, Richard Hipple of Rochester Hills, MI, Thomas Hipple of Towson, MD, Terry Moyer of North Carolina, and Keith Moyer of Florida.
A combined graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Arrangements are being handled by the Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
