Young Mother Called
Mrs. Delbert Eastberg of Uehling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Johnson of Pender was called hence last Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Eastberg was ill about three weeks, and suffered intensely from spinal meningitis. Every precaution was taken and the best of care given at times there were signs of recovery, but the young wife and mother succumbed.
Lillie Johnson-Eastberg was born June 14, 1902, near Oakland. She married Delbert Eastberg March 3, 1924. Following their marriage they farmed southwest of Oakland, then moved to Rosalie and later to Pender. The young couple moved to Uehling a few weeks ago, where the husband assisted his father, Frank Eastberg, in the Uehling Meat Market.
The husband, a twenty months old daughter, the parents and five brothers now mourn the sad and untimely passing of their beloved one.
The funeral will be held Saturday at Pender.
