Kenneth R. Maston, 89, of Charleston passed away on November 25, 2008, at CAMC General Hospital.

He was a resident of Charleston since 1945. Kenneth was a World War II veteran and served in the Army 16th Armored Division in the European Theatre.

Kenneth was retired from Union Carbide where he was a lab technician for 31 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist, Charleston, where he served as president of the Trinity Men's Group, chairman of the building committee and a trustee and sang in the Chancel Choir. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 153 and Mended Hearts for 8 ½ years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bace and Maude Maston; son, Michael Ray Maston; sister, Mildred Fredrick; and brothers, Donald and Doy Maston.
At the time of his death, Kenneth was survived by his wife; one daughter; and two grandchildren. Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, at Trinity United Methodist with the Rev. Barbara Bailey officiating. A private family burial took place in Ward Cemetery, Cedar Grove. Arrangements entrusted to Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston.
