Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Hauschild, 56, died Friday, Jan. 23, at Sacred Heart hospital after a last illness of six months. She had been in poor health the past seven years.
Elizabeth Zimmerman was born Jan. 20, 1897 at Valley Junction, Iowa. She attended high school in Jackson, Neb., and taught in Nebraska schools until 1919 when she came to Plymouth county to teach.
Her marriage to John Hauschild took place Mar. 2, 1921, in Le Mars. The couple farmed until they retired to Le Mars in 1947. She had been making her home at 321 9th St. SE.
Surviving are her husband, John; a son, Leonard of Le Mars; and a daughter, Mrs. Arlen Olson of Moville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, three brothers, Bernard of Valljo, Calif., Fred of San Francisco and Lawrence Zimmerman of Chicago and a sister, Mrs. Ann Downey of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and a brother, Rudolph.
Mrs. Hauschild was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church and the aldies Aid society of the church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 27. at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's American Lutheran church in Grant township. Rev. L. L. Belk officiated and interment was in the church cemetery. Mauer's funeral home had charge of arrangements.
