Edward was one of Eight Children born to Henry Mellin Olivant and his Wife Ada Elizabeth Adelaide Mattey on 12th June 1907 in Belfast.In November 1935 he married Ellen Mubery at St.Catherines Parish Church, Liverpool.They had two children Olga and Derek.He was a Printer in the Merchant Navy and served on many of the Queens Liners including the Queen Mary and the Q E 1.His family home was in Liverpool.He retired in later life to Port Erin in the Isle of Man with his wife.He died at Nubles Isle of Man Hospital, Douglas on 2nd February 1983.He was buried at Kirk Christ Church at Rushen by Funeral Directors Cringle & Co.
