Survivors include his parents, David and Diana Cerna of Moorhead, Minnesota; his paternal grandmother, Lupe Cerna of Big Wells; his maternal grandmother, Roberta Perez of Big Wells; his one and only baby sister, Amy Cerna and Juan Espinoza of Moorehead, Minnesota, and Juan Cerna of Moorehead, Minnesota; nephews and nieces, Deanni Cerna, Victor Cerna, Juan "J-Jay" Cerna, Dezstiny Espinoza, and Jennifer Espinoza, all of Moorhead Minnesota; a special friend, Alma and her children, Michael, Marcos, and Lexie, all of Carrizo Springs and numerous other relatives and friends.
Fr. Agustin Escalante was the Celebrant for the Requiem Mass and burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery in Big Wells under the direction of the Leonard Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were: David Cerna, Jr., Juan (JC) Cena, David Perez, Jim Cerna, Benito Herranda, and Sammy Salinas.
