Anna B. Redpath 82, of Baldwin, IL passed away at 3:44 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Ann was born on January 11, 1932 in Sparta, IL to Hugh and Amy McIntire nee Wilson. She married William J. Redpath on August 22, 1951 in Sparta, IL. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1998. Ann was a member of the Baldwin Community Presbyterian Church and the Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary. She was a beautician for many years and a long-time volunteer at her church and the Randolph County Care Center.
Survivors include one daughter Debbie (David) Nies of Lemont, IL; one son Dennis (Beth) Redpath of Lake Barrington, IL; one sister Thirma McIntire of Sparta, IL; six grandchildren David (Caitlin), Matthew, and Katie Nies, Chris, Ben and Max Redpath. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter, Allyson, one sister and five brothers.
Graveside Services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Union Cemetery, Sparta, IL. Friends may call from 5:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the McDaniel and Lee Family Funeral Home, Sparta, IL. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Sparta, IL. The family requests in lieu of floral arrangements, memorials may be given to the Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary. The family invites everyone back to Ann's home for a luncheon and fellowship immediately following the graveside service.
