Harold L. Cope, 73, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, Sept., 4, in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Elsie M. (George) Cope. They were married for 48 years in June.
He was a custodian for Moravian College for 10 years before retiring in 1995. Previously, he was a quality inspector for the former Bethlehem Fabricators for 30 years until 1983.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Edwin and Lena (Ebert) Cope.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Bethlehem, where he served on the church board.
He was a former scoutmaster of Troop 345, Bethlehem, a foster parent, member of the National Rifle Association and a board member of the Nimrod Hunting Club of Centre County.
Survivors: Wife; brother, Donald G. of Garden City, S.C. He was predeceased by a son, Douglas L.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Call 7-9 p.m. Friday, Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
