The funeral of C. Allen Walton was held Tuesday afternoon Jan. 20, from the Baptist church. Mr. Walton was employed as station agent at the Aroostook Valley Electric railroad passenger station about six years. Ill health prevented him working the last year, although ho was able to walk from his home in Fairview, In Gouldville to the village store and frequently did so until cold weather. The last three days before his death which took place on Sunday evening Jan. 11, he bad very ill turns. His age was seventy years and nine days. He was born in Houlton and before coming to Presque Isle lived in Mapleton a term of years. His wife who survives him was Alberta Kitchen. He leaves also five sons and two daughters. They are Mrs. William Belmain and Mrs. Henry Neal of Presque Isle; Philip, Ray and Elmer Walton of Presque Isle and Willis and Harry of Mapleton. Rev. J. B. Ranger officiated at the funeral and a quartet sang. R. W. Wight was In charge.
