Many MANY thanks to Find A Graver Sheila (#47702527) for the following information:
Henry was the son of Hendrik Haagen Dieperink Langereis and his first wife, Marchijn Smit.
It appears that his mother died shortly after his birth and was interred in the Netherlands.
Henry's mother is in records by various name spellings. In the marriage record for the first name her name was spelled as it is here. The most common spelling on the vast majority of records were used to determine her maiden name.
Sometimes her name was "Americanized" as Marie / Maria, but it is speculated that the Americanized name was a mere simplification of the true spelling.
