Horace King, 60, of Memorial Drive in Paris died Sunday morning, April 7, 1996, at Henry County Medical Center.

A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bevil Cemetery with Richard Kilpatrick officiating.

The staff of McEvoy Funeral Home will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy and Ray Hill, Hansel and Tansel McCadams and George and Gene Moore.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A Paris native, he was born June 26, 1935, a son of the late Lawrence and Pearl Pierce King. He was married Oct. 17, 1954, to the former Glenda Sue Collins, who survives. A Baptist, he was a graduate of Grove High School, a former grocery store owner and employed with Hutson Ag of Paris.

He also is survived by two daughters, Sherry King of Paris and Tracy Kilpatrick of Rogers, Ark.; two sisters, Carolyn Bullen of Paris and Betty Holcomb of Goodlettsville; four brothers, Morris King of Paris, Dan King of Louisville, Ky., Wayne King of Waterford, Mich., and Bobby King of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Colin Kilpatrick, both of Rogers.

He also was preceded in death by twin sons.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
