He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on June 29, 1930, the son of the late Aaron Corley Marshall and Frankie VanScoy Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude E. Gabriel Marshall and his second wife Carolyn Wilson Marshall.
Bud is survived by two sons, Alan Jackson Marshall and wife, Joyce and Bernard Lee "Bernie" Marshall Jr. and wife, Toni; seven grandchildren, Scott Marshall, Jeff Marshall, Missy Davis, Melinda Criss, Michele Morgan, Angela Goldsmith and Eli Goldsmith; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Sandy Morgan and husband, Ersel and one son-in-law, Rick Goldsmith.
Along with his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Marsha E. Goldsmith; one grandson, Benjamin Marshall; one great-granddaughter, Shaina Criss and two sisters, Shirley Windon and Laura Swiger.
He was a retired Evangelistic minister, serving where ever he was called. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a ham radio operator and was past president of the Ham Radio Operators Association.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV, on Friday, May 30, 2014, from noon-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Life Point Church, 210 Oak Drive, Clarksburg, WV, on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at noon with the Reverend Jimmie Johnson presiding. Mr. Marshall will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
