Lois B. Donahue, 90, DuBois, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the DuBois Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 10, 1923, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Francis H. and Hilda Engell Forsyth.

She married Thomas C. Donahue Sr. on Feb. 23, 1942, in DuBois. He passed away in March of 2009.

Lois graduated from Sandy Township High School in 1940 and later became the co-owner of Donahue Trucking.

She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church.

She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Ross (Mary Ann) Donahue of DuBois and Wesley E. (Lisa) Donahue of State College; a daughter-in-law, Carol "Pinky" Donahue of DuBois; a brother, Gary Forsyth of Franklin; and eight grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas C. Donahue Jr., and five siblings: Zane Forsyth, Madelyn Smith, Gerald Forsyth, LaMar Forsyth and Ivan Forsyth.

Friends and family will be received from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, May 31 and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at Adamson Funeral Chapel Inc. in DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. David Nagele officiating. Interment is in Morningside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the DuBois Nursing Home, 200 S. 8th St., DuBois or the DuBois Public Library, 31 S. Brady St., DuBois, PA 15801.
