Mrs. Marie Potter Rowlett , age 96, of Madison, Indiana, Marie entered this life on October 2, 1917 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Frederick Lewis and Jenny Gallagher Potter. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and was a 1933 graduate of Madison High School. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, granny and homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Marie enjoyed sewing, embroidery, quilts and grandchildren. Anna died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 11:15 PM at Hickory Creek of Madison in Madison, Indiana.

Anna will be missed by her loving sons, Richard Rowlett and his wife, Janet of Indianapolis, Indiana, Milton Keith Rowlett and his wife, Betty, Cecil Rowlett and his wife, Sue of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughter, Sherry Ragan and her husband, David of Commiskey, Indiana; her sister, Matilda "Bertie" Shelley of Monticello, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frederick Lewis and Jenny Gallagher Potter, her husband of fifty seven years, Nelson Rowlett, died Sept. 11, 1993, her sisters, Nadine Eppley, Mary Merritt, and Jean Anderson, and her brother, Jake Potter.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Stan Carroll at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery,600 West Fifth Street in downtown Madison, Indiana.

Friends may call Monday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
