Everett A. Hansen, 59, of Hilbert, died on Friday, May 9, 1997 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on March 9, 1938 in Marinette, Wi, son of the late Arnold and Hazel (Deshaine) Hansen.
He married Diane Boettcher on Feb. 4, 1961 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marinette. He served in the U.S. Army, and had worked for the Chilton Metal Products company until 1992 when he retired due to ill health. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Hansen of Hilbert; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and David Hartsworm of Shiocton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Theresa Hansen of Chilton, Alan and Brenda Hansen of Chilton; four grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Dionne of Marinette, Elaine (Donald) Ahlberg of Peshtigo; a half brother; a half sister; a brother-in-law, Donald (Nancy) Boettcher, of Marinette; nieces, nephews and some very special neighbors.
Funeral services were held at the Wieting Funeral Home in Chilton, with the Rev. Wayne Huebner as officiant. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery.
