Frank G. Brower

Frank G. Brower was born in Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, July 19, 1853, and died at his home near Centralia, Kansas, March 8, at 10 o'clock in the evening, aged 65 years, 7 months and 14 days. He had been in poor health for several years.

Mr. Brower came to Centralia, Kansas in 1879, with his parents, locating on the farm where he died.
He was married to Clara McBratney July 19, 1883. After their marriage the young couple went to live on the home farm, known as the Brower farm, and have always lived there.

Mr. Brower was a man much liked by his neighbors and for a number of years was a member of the school board in his district. He also served for two terms as trustee of Home township. He united with the Congregational church February 22, 1882, and lived true to his faith in Jesus.

He was the father of three children, Mrs. Letha Kent, of Russiaville, Indiana; Abe Brower of Peoria, Ill., and Bruce, who farms the home place. They, with the wife, survive him. Besides his immediate family he leaves one sister, who has always lived in part of his house.

The funeral services was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home conducted by Rev. Orley L. Miller. Interment in the Centralia cemetery.
