HARRY APPLIN, 74, OF 145 Englert Ave. died yesterday at his home after a long illness. He was a life resident of Syracuse.
Mr. Applin retired three years ago after being chauffeur 39 years for William Hinds, former chairman of the board of directors at Crouse-Hinds Co. He was a vestryman of Calvary Episcopal Church.
He was a member of Salt Springs Lodge 520, F&AM, and the Kedar Khan Grotto.
Surviving are a son, Donald S. Applin; a brother, Arthur Applin, and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Calvary Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Masterson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Welter Funeral Home, 2649 James St.
Contributions may be made to the Calvary Book of Remembrance.
