William E. [P.] Winner, father of Willard Winner, died at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon at the home of his son, 2306 N. Tenth Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Winner was nearly 84 years old. He came to Kansas City from Fairfield, Iowa in 1858, and for many years he conducted a tailoring establishment. In 1896, he moved to Lansing, Kansas, where he lived until about three years ago, when he came to Kansas City to live with his son.
Mr. Winner left four sons and one daughter, three of the sons live in Kansas City, and one son and the daughter live in Ft. Worth, Texas. The funeral will be held in the First Congregational Church in Kansas City, Kansas at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Winner married Mary Morse on 31 December 1846 in Van Buren County, Iowa. Mary Morse Winner died during a visit to Fairfield, Iowa, and her burial location is unknown. I. have posted Mary's obituary to her parents' memorials, 163270581 (father) and 163276646 (mother).
