Elmer F. Iserman, Labor Adviser, Dies

Elmer F. (Al) Iserman general manager and director of labor relations for Associated Industries, Minneapolis employer group, died today at Tallahassee, Fla. He was 56.

Associates said Mr. Iserman left for a Florida vacation after attending the organization's open house in new offices in the National building Friday.

Mr. serman (sic), who lived at 6109 S. Halifax Av., Edina, had been connected with Associated Industries since 1936. He handled labor relations work for member companies.

He was a member of St. James Episcopal church, Zuhrah Temple of the Shrine and other Masonic organizations. He was born in Stillwater, Minn.

Two years ago he was honored at a labor-management forum sponsored by the Minneapolis Junior Chamber of Commerce for "significant contributions to labor-management relations."

Mr. Iserman served on numerous government fact-finding boards and war labor boards during World War II and was on the wage stabilization board during the Korean conflict. He was a former member of the executive committee of the National Industrial council and trustee of the benefit fund for Teamster warehousemen, drivers and helpers.

Survivors Include his wife, Margaret.

Services Saturday morning 10:30 o'clock at The Episcopal Church of St. James on the Parkway. Interment Lakewood. Friends may call at Werness Brothers Chapel, W. 50th St. & Beard Ave So., WA 7-8641, beginning noon Friday. If so desired memorials may be made to the church or to The Heart Fund.
