Billy Melton Stevens was a Deputy Sheriff for the Davidson County Tennessee Sheiffs Department. He also served his Country in the United States Air Force. Billy suffered a fatal Heart Attack while struggling with an inmate at the Davidson County Jail that was attempting to escape. The inmate attacked the guards with a makeshift knife and a mop handle. He beat Deputy Stevens across the chest with the mop handle causing him to have the fatal heart attack. He is survived by his Wife, Mother, Daughter and Brother.
