On Aug. 19, 1897 she was married to Edward Whisler in Cook Co., IL. They made their home in Chicago and had at least four children. Sarah passed away Feb. 28, 1921.
She was survived by husband, Ed Whisler and children: Vivian, Charles, and Wayne Whisler all of Chicago, IL; father, John Hawking of Aurora, IL; sister, Celia Sloncen of Chicago, IL; brothers, John Hawking, and Charles Hawking of Chicago, IL; half sisters, Grace Stepehenson, and Alice Reiber; and half brother Harry Hawking of Aurora, IL.
She was preceded in death by mother, Elizabeth Hawking in 1882; and half brother, Arthur Hawking in 1886.
