A. J. Pearce, 53 years old, died at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. P. J. Hazer, 2758 Virginia avenue, at 11:50 o'clock last night, following an illness of several months. The remains will be shipped to Ruston today, where funeral services will be held tomorrow, conducted under the auspices of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Pearce is survived by four sons, L. E., E. J., W. P. and A. J. Pearce, of this city; two daughters, Mrs. R. H. Gibson and Miss Camile Pearce, and one brother, G. W. Pearce, of Alexandria.
