Joe Bob Buchanan, age 89 of Garland, TX, passed away June 1, 2014. He was born April 10, 1925, in Dike, TX, to Andrew Jackson and Kitty (Burkham) Buchanan. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was married January 7, 1947, to Wanda Faye Clancy in Greenville, TX. Mr. Buchanan has been a resident of the area since 1954 and was owner and operator of The Cabinet Manufacturing and Door Company of Rowlett, TX, for over 36 years. He was a member of Firewheel Bible Fellowship.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his son: Joe David Buchanan and wife Brenda of Rowlett, TX; daughter: Faye Lynn Buchanan of Richardson, TX; brother: Tommy L. Buchanan of Garland, TX; sister: Betty Parker of Graham, TX; grandchildren: Stacey Bravo of Hickory Creek, TX, David Buchanan of Wylie, TX, Seth Spence of Dallas, TX, Wesley Spence of Garland, TX, and Ashton Spence of Kaufman, TX; great-grandchildren: Clayton, Brendan, Landon, Jacob and Brynlee. He was preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Faye Buchanan; sisters: Clara May Buchanan and Faye Ferguson; brothers: Richard and Jack Buchanan.
Interment will follow services in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
