Formerly of rural Delphi.

She was the daughter of Professor Roy and Eunice Brown Stockrahm.

She was a 1934 graduate of Bloomington High School and a 1939 Graduate of Indiana University majoring in elementary education. While attending IU, she paid most of her expenses by typing term papers and making 30 cents per hour grading tests for three professors in the Geography Dept.

On October 26, 1940 at Peru, IN, she secretly (so that she could remain an elementary teacher at Crawfordsville) married Attorney Lewis N. Mullin, he preceded her in death June 20, 2013. They lived on a Hoosier Homestead Farm, the birthplace of Lewis. They received the Carroll County Heritage Award in 2000.

She served as chairman of the Carroll County Red Cross Drive, the Heart Fund Drive, and volunteered on other money drives for many years. She taught school for twelve years, mostly in the Delphi School Corporation. She was active in the Wednesday Forum, Rockfield Home Economics Club, Past Presidents Club and the Burrows Presbyterian Church. In 1986, she and her husband restored an 1874 one-room, red brick schoolhouse, now on the National Register of Historical Places. They hosted many class field trips. They were able to give several scholarships to senior students in the Delphi School Corporation. She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara June Hess.

Graveside services held at the Camden Cemetery, with Pastor Ken Smith of the Hickory Grove Church officiating.

Memorial conributions may be made to Martin School House in care of The Friends of Carroll County Parks 817 E Columbia St. Delphi, IN. 46923.

Cree Funeral Home Camden, IN. assisted the family with arrangements.
