Edward J. Denaut, conductor for the New York Central Railroad for many years until his retirement seven years ago, and father of Albert E. Denaut of 186 Ashburton Avenue, died yesterday at his home in Chatham, New York, after a short illness. Born in Irvington on August 12, 1870, he was educated in schools there. Fifty-two years ago he married Marie Harrison of New York City. He has lived in Chatham for several years. He also leaves three brothers, Joseph of Irvington, Benjamin of Miami, FL and Paul of New York City and three grandsons.
