Rosalind "Roz" Biskind (nee Ackerman) was born in London, England during WWI, the daughter of Betsy Ackerman.

Rosalind met her American husband during WWII, when he heard there was a pretty Jewish girl working in the American Red Cross office on the base. After their whirlwind courtship and marriage, she was warmly welcomed as the first Cleveland area war bride. Her husband, Saul, attributed much of his business success to her unwavering support.

Together they lived the American dream. She presided over a happy, bustling household including her widowed mother. Her family, along with her Jewish faith were the center of her life and she was a community volunteer.

She traveled, visiting far-flung family and friends; always looking for the local synagogues, especially in foreign countries. She made new friends during the last 15 years, after she moved to the Philadelphia area to be close to her daughter.

The summer of 2013, a California based granddaughter and fiance married in the Philadelphia area, on her grandmother's birthday, so that Gramma Roz would be there.

Rosalind's funeral was graveside June 5, 2014 at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.

Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services Thursday 11 A.M. Lakeview Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
