Faye Marie (Haas) Bertsch went home to be with her Lord for all eternity. She also is reunited with her husband, grandson, parents and siblings.
In this life she enjoyed reading her Bible, taking care of her family and her home, serving others, tending her flowers and garden, sewing for herself, her family and her friends and extensive traveling with her husband.
She was a member of West Hill Community Church since 1957 where she attended and served. She was employed by J.C. Penney's in the alterations department and retired from there after 25 years of service. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there.
She lived her life with a cheerful attitude, a smile on her face and a helpful hand.
She is survived by her daughter, R. VanCleave, grandson K VanCleave, granddaughter, K. Hiebenthal, great grandsons A. VanCleave, J. and J. Hiebenthal. In addition she leaves one brother, two sisters, and numerous relatives in North and South Dakota.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, February 14, 2014 at West Hills Community Church. In lieu flowers remembrances may be sent to Wet Hill Community Church, 1650 Brush College Rd NW, Salem, OR 97304 or Sioux Falls Seminary, 2100 S Summit Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57105. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
