Flossie Batchelor, 90, formerly of 1001 E. Willard St., died Saturday afternoon at Sylvester Nursing Home. She was born in Pike County, spent her early years in that area, and came to Muncie about 50 years ago. She also lived in Indianapolis for a brief time, where she graduated from Indiana School for the Deaf.
Mrs. Batchelor was formerly employed at Ball Brothers, now Ball Corp. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Indianapolis.
Surviving are three daughters, Minnie, Margaret, and Marjorie; her sister, Hazel Snodgrass; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge. Friends may call at the mortuary 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and before the services Monday.
