Ida was the daughter of Joseph Botelho (of Sao Miguel, Azores) and Mary Cabral (from Sao. Jorge). In 1906 after the very large California earthquake the family immigrated to Brazil but returned in the year 1912 and settled in the city of San Jose, CA. Parents Joseph and Mary had 12 children (including Ida Botelho) which were: Mary Constance (1890-1986); Adeline (1896-1997); Joseph, Anthony Emmalia, Emma, Frank (1890-1943); Carrie (1896-1958); William, Manual *(1882-1943)' John and Ida. Mary Cabral married Joseph Mendonca in Brazil and then came back to California with Marin, Arnold, and Victor. In California they had four more children: Edna, Walter, Marie and Victor. Lived in San Jose. Joseph was an only son and had two sisters who remained in Brazil.
