Mr. Vaughn W. Webb, age 85, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at Beverly Health Care in Heber Springs. Born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on September 14, 1919, he was the son of the late Hugh and Jessie (Lowery) Webb. A resident of Heber Springs for thirty years, Mr. Webb was retired from the Arkansas Secretary of State's Office where he worked in public relations. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Webb's religious belief was Methodist.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lee Webb, and also by one brother, Woody Webb. Survivors include his wife, Linda (Roberts) Webb of Heber Springs; one daughter, Judy Cooper of Heber Springs; two grandsons, Matthew Mahurin of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and James Heuston of Massachusetts; two granddaughters, Jamie Lee Cooper of Heber Springs, and Laura Beth Jarman of Cabot; one great-grandson, Cooper Thomas of Cabot, and one great-granddaughter, Jesse Cooper of Cabot. Mr. Webb is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 18, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Heber Springs First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Miles officiating. Memorials may be made to the Cleburne County Hospice. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
