He was the son of the late Floyd D. and Mildred (Hathaway) Kipp.

He was a 1963 graduate of East Tipp High School.

Doug married Martha "Murph" Brissey Morehouse on August 18, 1986 in Woodland Park, CO and she survives.

He farmed in Tippecanoe County and worked for Alcoa for 10 years. He was also a school bus driver for Tippecanoe School Corporation and Wawassee School Corporation.

He was a former member of the Colburn EUB Church which his grandfather helped to build.

He was a member of various antique tractor clubs, enjoyed traveling and visiting Wyoming, South Dakota, and New Orleans, riding ATV's collecting guns, and attending gun shows.

Memorial held at Hippensteel Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Scott officiating.
